Controller

Data We Collect

This website collects personal data only through the contact form. The form asks for:

• your name,
• your email address,
• the content of your message,
• the inquiry type you select (for example Curatorial / Gallery, Press, Patronage / Collaboration, Artwork or General).

If you reach the form through an “Inquire about this work” link, the title of that work is added to your message. To send the form you must tick the box confirming that you agree to the Privacy Policy and to your message being sent to the artist.

If you write directly to the email address shown on the website, your email address and the content of the correspondence are processed in the same way.

As with any website, the web server also processes basic technical data when a page is requested, such as the IP address, the date and time, the requested page and the type of browser. This is recorded in the server logs of the hosting provider.

Purpose and Legal Basis

Data submitted through the contact form is used only to read and answer your inquiry. It is not used for marketing, is not added to any mailing list, and is not shared with third parties, except where the law requires it.

The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box in the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Where your inquiry concerns a possible acquisition or another agreement, processing is also necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by email; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Server logs are processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in running and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Recipients

Your message is delivered by email to the artist’s mailbox. The website, its domain-related services and the mailbox are provided by DEAL-INFORM KFT. (4031 Debrecen, Széchenyi u. 76/A., Hungary), which acts as a processor and handles the data only on behalf of the controller, for hosting purposes.

Personal data is not transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Retention

Contact form messages and related correspondence are kept for one year after the inquiry has been concluded, and are then deleted. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period, for security and operational purposes.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, the restriction of its processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to hello@sandorpolgari.hu. Requests are answered within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian supervisory authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH): www.naih.hu, email ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu, phone +36 (1) 391-1400. You may also bring the matter before the competent court.

Analytics and Third-Party Content

This website does not use analytics, advertising tools, social media plugins or embedded third-party content. The links to social media profiles are ordinary links: no data is passed to those platforms unless you open them, after which their own policies apply.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the website changes, for example if analytics is introduced. The current version is always published on this page, with its date.
